It has been a wild week of weather here in Phoenix, and I think some of you may actually be in town to experience it. Seems everyone I have talked to or seen on social media is on a beach or sitting by a lake in much cooler temps. I get it, July is the time to be somewhere else!!!

We finally gotten a true taste of monsoon season, with powerful thunderstorms, dramatic dust storms, heavy rain, and impressive lightning lighting up the Valley over the past few days. While the storms have brought cooler temperatures and much-needed moisture, they've also caused blowing dust & some damage locally.

I enjoy the change in the weather and I’m a bit of a radar geek, but these storms are no joke. Please be mindful as the monsoon pattern isn't finished yet. Forecasters are calling for additional chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the Phoenix area over the next week, bringing the potential for heavy rain, strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and more blowing dust. While not every neighborhood will see a storm each day, residents should stay weather-aware, as conditions can change quickly and localized flooding and travel impacts remain possible.
