There is a company rolling out a new concept, Cuby Technologies, which reminded me of the homes you used to be able to buy in the Sears Catalog during the early 20th century. It seems like a great concept, but I have to wonder if they can break the mold, & stigma of a home built in a factory.

In this newsletter:

  • Am I seeing double or does that house have two RV garages? ‼️

  • Rates got better 🧐

  • The first hike of the Arrowhead Hiking Club was a huge success, till it wasn’t 🥾

  • A special place in my heart in this week’s ‘Should we move here??’ ⛳️

Thanks for being here, have a great weekend!

Would you buy a home built in a factory?

Most people hear that question and picture a double-wide, not exactly the image of innovation.

But a company called Cuby Technologies is redefining what “mobile” means in homebuilding.

Instead of producing homes that move, Cuby builds factories that move. Their “Mobile Micro-Factories” are portable, high-tech production lines that can be set up near a neighborhood to manufacture and assemble homes right on site.

It’s a completely different kind of mobility — one that tackles some of the biggest problems facing Arizona’s housing market: rising construction costs, labor shortages, and slow build times.

In the Phoenix area, where demand keeps outpacing supply, Cuby’s system could be a game changer. By using automation and efficient manufacturing methods, each micro-factory can produce hundreds of high-quality homes a year, with less waste and fewer delays.

If successful, it could help bring more attainable homes to markets across the Valley — not through mobile homes, but through mobile innovation.

Would you buy a home that was built in a factory, instead of home built on site?

Should we move here??

Whenever I travel anywhere I’m always looking online to see what homes sell for in the area. And I find myself thinkings, should we move here??

This section of the newsletter will feature an interesting home from another part of the country.

If you didn’t know, I went to school at Colorado State Univiersity, where I played on the golf team. One of our home courses was the Fort Collins Country Club, and despite playing all over the country, I still believe the back nine at FCCC is one of the best there is and will always have a special place in my heart.

I was very excited to see a teammate of mine from CSU, Brandon Tompkins with Tompkins Real Estate + Mortgage, has a listing on the third hole. If I were to move back to Fort Collins, this is exactly where I’d want to live.

Perfectly positioned on the third tee box of the prestigious Fort Collins Country Club, this classic brick ranch offers a rare blend of timeless design and breathtaking surroundings. Panoramic mountain and lake views frame every moment, while the single-level layout delivers effortless flow between indoor comfort and outdoor living. Mature landscaping and an expansive lot create a private retreat-yet place you just steps from the heart of the country club lifestyle. Opportunities like this are seldom available, making this home a true Colorado treasure.

See all the pics & details here, and dream about what it would be like to live on the Fort Collins Country Club.

Fall is here, and that means pumpkin patch events are in full swing. I put together a list of local events in the Valley & across Arizona, which I think are the most noteworthy. (link)

Last week’s trivia question was ‘What is the official gemstone of the State of Arizona?’

The answer was: Turqoise

Designated in 1974, turquoise has been prized for centuries by Indigenous peoples of the Southwest for its sky-blue and green hues. It’s often found in copper-rich areas, especially in mines near Bisbee, Kingman, and Morenci, and is commonly used in Native American jewelry and Southwestern art.

Do you like the trivia question in the newsletter?

Not many are answering, so maybe I'll leave it out in future newsletters...
